Greetings and welcome to my professional website. Once you’ve read my bio, check out what I have to offer as an educator, writer, researcher, and creative individual by exploring my portfolio and curriculum vitae.
In May 2016, I received a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. My undergraduate education was at Flagler College, where I received a B.A. in Fine Art in 2005. It was at Flagler that I became aware of and interested in the media’s ability to shape user experiences and emotions.
In August 2016, I began teaching Multimedia Writing at the University of Florida in the College of Journalism and Communications. I have also taught Professional Writing in Business in the Warrington College of Business at UF and Public Speaking at Santa Fe College.
Prior to achieving my master’s degree, I worked as a retail sales associate and receptionist, respectively. It was in these positions that I developed positive relationships with clients and developed my skills in multi-tasking, personal communication, and time management. My interest in wildlife conservation and animal welfare has led me to volunteer with Wildlife Rescue Coalition of Northeast Florida, La Jolla Friends of the Seals, and Gainesville Rabbit Rescue. By volunteering, I have strengthened my ability to be self-motivated, as well as work in various roles as part of a team.
When not working or volunteering, I enjoy reading literary fiction, working on creative projects, hiking and traveling.
